Pim Van Den Bos interview:
Where do you live?
Veldhoven, a small town next to Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Describe yourself in max. 10 words: smiling, quiet, happy, tall Name some of the things you do during the day, besides bikeriding: School, talk with friends, eat, sleep.
Name 3 (or more) good things about bikeriding:
It takes you to alot places. You can meet other cool people. When I ride I'm not thinking about school and stuff, just having a good time!
What's your favorite thing to ride?
Skateparks and street.
If you could change one thing, what would it be?
The Dutch riding scene should be a little bit bigger although everybody knows eatchother now. All skateparks should allow BMX.
Where is the best place you have travelled to?
I think Trier in Germany. They have a nice concrete park there and a good miniramp. Roskilde was very good too!
Where would you like to travel to?
Woodward!
If you could be a superhero, who would you be?
None of them, but I like to watch good riders, they're way better than superhero's!
Favorite food?
Pizza and frites.
Favorite drink?
Coca cola.
Which music are you listening to at the moment?
The Sounds - Ego.
Whats more important to you, contests or videoparts?
Contest are super fun but the results aren't so important. I've never really been in a BMX dvd or something, but a videopart would be awsome I think!
What inspires you?
Other riders, friends, video's. Especially Dutch BMXers: Barry Köhne and Daniel Wijsmuller.
Has there been any situations, things or people that has changed your life significantly?
A student of my dad (he's a teacher) did bmx race but took his bike a little skatepark near my house. He did some airs above the coping and I really liked that! After a while I finally bought my first BMX bike, a Haro Revo.
What would your ideal day be like?
Wake up around 10:30. Eating. Nice weather, Blue sky. I love the summer! Check my email and some sites, meet some friends and ride some street. And in the evening riding at an indoorpark or concrete park. After that go to a party or just sleep.
Most important item to bring on trips?
My bike, pads and ipod.
What's the best thing about being home?
Being with my parents and I think The Netherlands is a pretty good country to live in although the riding scene is pretty small.
Anything else?
Thanks to Niels and Paul at Paul's Boutique. My mom and especially my dad, for always supporting me and driving me to skateparks, he's the best! |
