Niels Thanild Interview:

Where do you live?
I live in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Describe yourself in max. 10 words:
Content. Happy. Smiling. Easy going. Bad jokes. Bikerider. How many was that?

Name some of the things you do during the day, besides bikeriding:
I drink coffee. Have a look at the computer. Paddle Kayacks, ride mountainbikes or climb stuff. I also like to take pictures, read books, hang out with my friends and my girlfriend. I also spend way too much time doing the dishes.

Name 3 (or more) good things about bikeriding:
It's a constant challenge both on the creative side and on the physical side. You get to go out and explore, laugh, play and have a good time. And you get to see a lot of new places, and meet a lot of new and interesting people.

What's your favorite thing to ride?
I ride pretty much anything, but sketchy things that are not easy to ride are the best I think.

If you could change one thing, what would it be?
I am moving into a new apartment and we are getting a dishwasher, so that is now taken off the top of the list. I think that I would change the distance between me and the people that are important to me. We should be closer and see each other more.

Where is the best place you have travelled to?
Can't say really. There has been so many great destinations along the way. But I actually think that travelling is much more anout the journey than the destination itself.

Where would you like to travel to?
I would like to go diving, so somewhere with a reef or something.

If you could be a superhero, who would you be?
Radioactive Man.

Favorite food?
I like fish a lot. Sushi is great!

Favorite drink?
I'd say that is a 50/50 between coffee and beer.

Which music are you listening to at the moment?
Stone Roses. Death Cab For Cutie too. Right now iTunes is on shuffle, so I could make a long list...

Whats more important to you, contests or videoparts?
The kind of riding I do is not very contest minded, so I think that I can express myself better through a videopart. But contests can be good fun too.

What inspires you?
Seeing people do things differently than I would have done it. that opens my eyes. I get inspiration from books a lot too. Waking up in the morning is usually inspiration enough to keep me going all day long.

Has there been any situations, things or people that has changed your life significantly?
My parents has of course had a great influence on my life, and the people close to me as well. I read a book called Way of the Peacefull Warrior, by Dan Millman once, and that changed my views on some things.

What would your ideal day be like?
Wake up next to my girlfriend after a good nights sleep. Sun is shining and I am not in a rush. Get out of bed, have a nice breakfast and dring coffee. Good music and a nice bath. It's summer so I will ride my bike to the beach and have a swim. Then a bit of sushi for lunch and go ride some street with all the friends that are in town. Go out for dinner and find out that it's Beer 'o' Clock already. Have another one, and perhaps one more. Then go home, check my email and see that they have confirmed my flight to New Zealand where I can spend all winter. Then it's off to bed...

Most important item to bring on trips?
A towel.

What's the best thing about being home?
Having your own bed, doing your daily little things, and having all your friends close by. That and Wonderland.

Anything else?
Thanks for taking the time to read this interview. Have a nice day.
