| We just recieved the first set of prototypes of the stems. |
| Travis is putting one through the test all ready, and so far it holds |
| up well. |
| The stem consists of 3 pieces, body, block and front plate. |
| The block allows us to get rid of the bolts in the back, clamping |
| onto the fork. Now, when you tighten the 4 bolts for the bars you |
| tighten the stem to the fork at the same time. |
| This is the first prototype, and there will be some smaller changes |
| to the final version. All unnessecary material is machined out |
| where it's not needed. |
| The stem will come with hollow bolts for extra reduced weight, |
| and will end up at around 280-290 grams (0.62-0.64 lbs) |
| approximately... But that is yet to be confirmed on the final protos. |
| It will still take some time before the stems will be in the shops. |
