Scott Lacey Interview:
Where do you live?
Melbourne, Australia
Describe yourself in max. 10 words:
Doubtful, quite, educated, un-intelligent, different and i like BMX.
Name some of the things you do during the day, besides bikeriding:
I catch the train into the city Monday-Friday for University.
Name 3 (or more) good things about bikeriding:
I've made some of my best friends through bmx, it's fun and it helps me forget about Uni.
What's your favorite thing to ride?
Big skateparks = going fast + big airs
If you could change one thing, what would it be?
I would take a year off and travel, ride different things/places and have lots of fun along the way (on and off my bike).
Where is the best place you have travelled to?
I haven't been out of Australia yet. So far Canberra because the parks are on a much bigger scale and everytime i go i have something good to remember.
Where would you like to travel to?
Mostly Canada, from what i've heard it's really good. Europe would also be an experience because the types of people are very different to us Australians.
If you could be a superhero, who would you be?
Wolverine from X-men, cause he's real tuff and heals in no time.
Favorite food?
A place called Spudbar here in Melbourne has baked potatoes and you can choose whatever toppings you want. It's healthy and tastes very good.
Favorite drink?
Beer
Which music are you listening to at the moment?
I like different types of music from Metallica to Outkast to Club music
Whats more important to you, contests or videoparts?
Probably a videopart because it would be around alot longer than people will remember who got what at a contest.
What inspires you?
Riding with friends in a positive atmosphere and trying new things.
Has there been any situations, things or people that has changed your life significantly?
Nothing to do with BMX but in the past year or so my life has changed dramatically because of situations including girls and sometimes alchohol.
What would your ideal day be like?
Wake up next to a good looking girl at 11 am, hangover free, and try to piece together the events of the night before. Then get a call from Zack or Aba, go ride somewhere that feels good. Find $100 in the gutter on the way from the car to the park, spot or trails. Get home just after dark, have a bit of dinner, then get a call from non-riding mates and go out on the town. Repeat.
Most important item to bring on trips?
A good attitude, everything always works out in one way or another.
What's the best thing about being home?
Having Mum looking after me, much love.
Anything else?
Thanks.
